Virginia Woolf

"Virginia Woolf is one of the great innovators of the modernist novel and a seminal figure in feminist writings. In this new book discussing the whole of Woolf's fiction, Linden Peach argues that Woolf was also a more sophisticated political thinker than has been generally recognised, interested in the complex relationship between history, politics, and language.

In particular, Peach shows how Woolf's fiction explores the dialogic relationship between past and present and the coded and concealed meanings of public discourse."--BOOK JACKET.
