The American boys handy book

An excellent manual for outdoor fun. The book is packed with projects to keep a boy usefully employed summer, winter and spring. Sadly, some of the projects are hard to pull off due to lack of materials (anyone still keep bushel baskets in the cellar?) or by the fact of living in an urban area where some of the outdoor stuff isn't possible. Still, it is a wonderful alternative to computer or video games and a nostalgic look at boyhood in previous generations.
