Home, family, security...the three things that lovely, independent, antique dealer Elizabeth Hayes is determined to provide for her adopted son. And Ambleside, Missouri, is just the place to do it. But the town is stirred up when Zachary Chalmers, the heir of the mansion at the center of Ambleside, comes to town with the intent of tearing down the Victorian home and replacing it with a new business. However, things quickly get complicated for Elizabeth as her son, Nickolai, declares that he wants a father--Zachary Chalmers specifically--and the only thing she wants to do with the man is to convince him to not destroy the mansion.
