Gents zilver in Laarne

Laarne castle is an important cultural centre in and for the province of East Flanders, not only because it reflects so well the past of Flanders in all its power and glory, but also because the collection of silverware present makes the qualities of the region's silversmiths known far beyond the borders of our country. The "Magic 3" Silver Exhibition displays exceptional gems from various collections of silver, giving the visitor the opportunity to compare silverware from Ghent with silver from adjacent cities in East Flanders such as Aalst, Dendermonde and Audenarde. In addition, Magic 3 brings that silverware from Ghent face to face with exceptional pieces from cities spread all over Belgium and top pieces from beyond our borders, more precisely from Germany, France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
