Escape from Passion

Love's Dark Secret

Fleur Garton was lovely. Yet it seemed she was born under a tragically unlucky star. She was a perpetual refugee from the ravages of war. And she found herself an unwitting victim of a series of unhappy love affairs. Her destiny appeared a grim, foregone conclusion.

Finally she joined the household staff of Sir Norman Mitcham, one of the most important men in all England, yet a man of enigmatic and forbidding habits. Slowly, surely, her love for him grew. Could this remote yet fatally attractive man return her love? Would Fleur be rescued at last from a life of failure and unhappiness?
