Rumo and His Miraculous Adventures

From the author of the cult classic The 13 1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear comes another fantastical journey into Zamonia. This captivating story from the unique imagination of Walter Moers is astonishingly inventive, amusing and engrossing.
Rumo is a wolperting, a creature that looks like a horned dog that walks on two legs. At the beginning of the book he is very young and grows up in the larder of the demonicles, one-eyed beings that savor the shrieks of the beings they eat alive. As they are about to eat Rumo, he exercises his talent for fighting and escapes. Thereafter he moves from one adventure to another.
