The Last American Rainforest

A story about a forest and the people they lived there seeing through the eyes of a Tlingit girl whose search for the roots of an ancient tree lead to the discovery of her own roots. Lily searches with her aunt for a shaykee, a special spruce tree, so they can weave a ceremonial hat. Includes natural history information on forest life.
